Weasley Fest 2009- Official Master List, Reveals, and Thank You's!

We have reached the conclusion of the 2009 weasley_fest and I want to thank each and every one of you for joining us in the celebration!

When I first decided to create this fest back in 2008, I never dreamed that it would become as large and successful as it has. With over 100 participants, 239 Members and 429 Watchers, we have more than doubled in size from our first year of operation. I am overwhelmed and grateful for the enthusiasm you have all shown for this community and I continue to be excited by how many different corners of the fandom have come together to share in the Weasley love!

Below, sorted by pairing, (or in the case of Gen, by character) you will find the official weasley_fest Master List and Reveals!

All of our Authors and Artists are now free to post your stories/artwork anywhere else that you desire. I will be going through all of the entries and filling in all of the author's and artist's names as soon as possible. If there are any adjustments that you would like for me to make, such as adding the name of your beta to the header or an error that you would like for me to correct in your piece, please contact me with your instructions and I will be happy to accommodate your requests.

Also, I know on occasion that an author may have gotten so excited by the gift art that they received that they immediately went out and wrote a piece to accompany it, or that likewise an artist may be so pleased by the fic they've received that they simply had to go ahead and illustrate their favorite moment(s). I know that a few of you have already done so:D

If any you have plans to write or draw anything as a response to the gift you received, I would love to be made aware of them once they are completed. Likewise, if any of you have already done something like this, could you please send me a link? I would like to, with your permission, be able to post a link to your creation in the header of the story or artwork which inspired it so that our watchers may also have an opportunity to view, read and appreciate your fantastic thank you's. I did this last year with any pieces that I had been personally made aware of, and I would love to continue the practice:)

Final Week in Review

Well, that's all folks!

It has been a fantastic and exciting month of July here at weasley_fest! This post will be our final "Week in Review", and you all will have some time in order to get caught up on any of the Weasley goodness that you may have missed over the course of the past month before the identities of our Mystery Authors and Artists are revealed.

The official reveals for the fest will be posted a week from today, on Saturday, August 8th. I invite you all to rec your favorite pieces to your friends, and all of our Mystery Authors and Artists may use this time to play any "Guess which piece I contributed" games that they wish. Also, please be sure to use this time to reply to any gifts that you have received during the course of the fest.

Pinch-hitters, I know that many of you weren't necessarily expecting to receive gifts in exchange, but I urge you to double check through the fest entries to make sure that you haven't missed a special surprise;)

Now, one more thing that I wanted to mention is I know that on occasion an author may have gotten so excited by the gift art that they received that they immediately went out and wrote a piece to accompany it, or that likewise an artist may be so pleased by the fic they've received that they simply had to go ahead and illustrate their favorite moment(s). Week Four in Review!

Hey Everyone!

weasley_fest is still going strong as we finish up our fourth and head into our fifth and final week of posting. I would like to give a very special thank you to all of the members, participants, and watchers who continue to generate so much excitement and support for the fest!

I also wanted to let you know what all of you can expect for our final week. While things are beginning to come to a close, there is still plenty of excitement, and phenomenal Weasley pieces still to come! For the final week there will be either two or three pieces posted per day in the place of the usual four.

Then, on Saturday, August 1st, I will post the fifth and final Week in Review so that you will have an opportunity to catch-up on any pieces that you may have missed, as well as provide our mystery authors and artists the time to play any personal "Guess which piece(s) I contributed" games should they choose to do so.

The official reveals for the fest will go up at some point on Saturday, August 8th, and then you will finally discover who wrote/drew which piece!

Now, if you haven't done so already, I very strongly encourage all members and watchers to leave some feedback for our mystery authors and artists, as I'm sure they'd love to know what you think of their work! I especially urge participating members to please be sure to comment on the gifts that you have been given to let your mystery author/artist know that you appreciate the time and effort that went into creating your gift.

I also would like to encourage everyone to take a few minutes over the course of this final week to promote the fest. The more people who are excited about the pieces that are posted, the more likely you all are to get reviews. You are more than welcome to make use of the promotional banner provided to you here if you so choose. So come on everyone, let's join together to keep the excitement going all the way through the end of the month!
